2022年度第1回研究会では、今年2月にご著書The Fragmentation of Palestine: Identity and Isolation since the Second Intifada. (Tauris Academic Studies)を刊行されたジョシュア・リカードさんに、パレスチナのヨルダン川西岸地区北部の都市ナーブルスを中心としたパレスチナ人コミュニティにおける社会的分断についてご報告いただきます。

タイトル：Social Fragmentation and Changes in Community Organization in the Post-Oslo Era
発表要旨：This talk will focus on social fragmentation in Palestinian communities that has developed through various levels of isolation, and the ways that communities have adapted in response. Increased political and class divisions since the Oslo process, as well as frequently changing restrictions, have resulted in changes in how communities relate to each other, contributing to the extraordinarily personal experience of uncertainty in everyday life. With a focus especially on the Nablus region I will discuss changes in community formations and expressions of identity over time, and the possibility for a reformation of social organization which transcends traditional political discourse.
